Is Assisted Living The Right Senior Care Option?

Does your aging parent need help with activities of daily living (ADLs) and house chores? Trying to figure out what type of senior care option is right for your aging loved one? There are several senior care options you can choose from like, Assisted Living Facility, Assisted Living Community, Nursing Home, Adult Day Care or Home Care.

If your parent does not have any serious medical condition, then Assisted Living may be the right choice. Tips When Visiting Nursing Home Residents

Are you planning to visit an elderly relative in a Nursing Home? Before you visit, it is important that you plan the date and time of your visit and the things you plan to do when you visit your aging loved on in the nursing home.

Most nursing home facilities have flexible visiting hours. However, it is better to call the nursing home facility in advance to make sure that you do not interrupt the nursing home resident's meal time and other planned activities during the day. Usually the staff of nursing homes encourage friends and family to join the seniors during mealtime and whenever there are scheduled activities in the nursing home. If you are planning to eat or join in the nursing home activities, be sure to contact the staff in advance to make arrangements. Additional fees may apply.
